Are your sheds to Australian standards?

Shedhub's designs, whether created by us or our clients, undergo rigorous checks and engineering to ensure all our builds comply with industry standards.

Why are your sheds cheaper than the competitors?

With a company based on quality, efficiency, and innovation, we operate with minimal overheads, no supplier price-locking, and evolving designs, allowing us to pass these savings on to our clients.

Where do your materials come from?

Where are you based?

Shedhub is based right here in Perth, WA.

Can you organise the supply and installation for the concrete?

Yes, for the optional price, be sure to select the option when requesting your quote.

What are your sheds made out of?

Utilising brands such as BlueScope and COLORBOND®, Shedhub endeavours to source only the highest grade steel for its builds. While other brands supply sheeting in 0.3mm thickness to save costs, Shedhub's base thickness is 0.42mm. Where other products have undersised flashings, Shedhub utilises designs that have been tried and tested in the industry for years.

How do I know my shed is compliant

You can rest easy knowing that each of our designs is specifically engineered for your chosen location, with certified plans and shire approval obtained before the slab even hits the ground.

How are your sheds designed and priced?

Whether you choose a design created by our in-house team or come up with your own, our knowledge base paired with our state-of-the-art software ensures all designs are functional, efficient, and compliant. Every shed is reviewed by our team before returning a quotation to ensure you have the best shed for your intended use and location. Close relationships with our suppliers and no lock-in contracts allow us to avoid restrictions on material pricing, ensuring any savings are passed down the line.

Are your sheds bushfire rated?

Yes, if required, our sheds can be constructed with BPAs (bushfire-prone areas) in mind. When requesting your formal quotation, let us know if your intended build location is within a BAL zone, and we will make the necessary adjustments to suit. How do i purchase a shed?

Once you have reviewed your quote and are ready to proceed, please sign and return the quotation as specified. Once received, an invoice for the first payment will be provided by Shedhub electronically. Upon receipt, we will begin the first stage (the engineering process) for your custom shed.

How do I organise council approval?

Please note that all shires and local councils often have their own ways of undertaking the building approval process that best suits their jurisdiction. We recommend contacting your local planning approval branch to discuss further. Generally, however, the first step is providing your quotation for ‘design approval’. Once approval is received, you can make the first payment to the account details located on your quotation to undertake engineering. Upon the completion of engineering, this can then be returned to the council for final building approval where the next steps in ordering your shed can be undertaken.

Where do you deliver to?

We can deliver Australia-wide! Alternatively, your kit can be picked up from our nearest distributor. Be sure to contact us at the time of purchase for further information.

What is the standard delivery time?

Depending on the type of shed you order and the build location, it can arrive as early as a month from shire approval.

What is a Boq/Bill of quants?

BOQ or BOM stands for 'bill of quantities' or 'bill of materials,' respectively. This refers to the list of materials and their quantities associated with your shed.

What are the components of a shed called?

All our sheds come with their own manual and component description, listing each item and its function within your build.

What is a wind region?

Wind region refers to the wind speed your build location is exposed to. Wind speed is an important factor in the planning and building of any new structure, including sheds. It influences the design and engineering specifications of the proposed structure. Australia is divided into four wind regions: Wind Region A experiences the least severe winds, while Wind Region D experiences the most severe. What is the terrain category?

The terrain category describes the surface roughness of the surrounding area within 500 metres of the building site. The three main categories are:

Terrain Category 1: Exposed, flat, treeless, with no surrounding obstacles.
Terrain Category 2: Open terrain, including grassland, with well-scattered obstructions at a frequency of no more than two obstructions per metre.
Terrain Category 3: Terrain with numerous, closely spaced obstructions. This category helps engineers determine which wind region your structure falls into

What is a BAL rating?

A Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) rating is used to assess the severity of a building's potential exposure to bushfires. The BAL rating is determined by the building's proximity to bushland and the type of vegetation present. How do I care for my shed?

To ensure your shed endures the harsh Australian climate, please refer to the product manuals and warranties provided with your kit. These will offer the best guidance on how to care for your shed and allow it to stand the test of time.

Can I add solar panels to my shed?

Yes, any large additions like this must be noted when requesting a quotation. Additional weight to any part of the structure must be factored in during the estimation and engineering process.

Can I install other services to my shed?

Yes, depending on the type of services, if advised at the time of your quotation request, Shedhub can accommodate or even supply and install the desired product in your design. However, it must be noted that, depending on how the additional products interact with the shed, associated suppliers' warranties may be voided.
